The Quokka Pure Standard



Quokka Pure is a standard of purity for the brewing and production of spirits. This is also the standard for any spirit becoming a Ballad.
Brewing/fermentation: Only purified water, yeast, yeast nutrient, and a non-grain (gluten free), vegan, sugar source are to be used for fermentation.
Specifically forbidden are all additive agents including but not limited to; anti-foam, clarifiers, preservatives, deflocking agents, fermentation halting agents.
Distilling: Only purified water to be used in any distilation process. The final product will be drawn from a rectified column at a minimum of 92.5%ABV (@ 20°C)
Specifically forbidden is any additive including but not limited to de-flocking agents and clarifiers, and any form of carbon/absorbative filtration.
Quokka Pure is a Vegan Standard
At no point are any animal [or animal derived] products used or present in the production of Quokka Pure spirits, including all milk, marine, terrestrial or avian products or their derivitives.
This policy is not a statement on vegan vs.non-vegan practices, but is part of the Quokka Pure standard designed to eliminate as many potential allergens, and other reactive factors, as is possible.

All Quokka Pure spirits are produced without gluten used or present in any part of production from brewing to bottling.
No gluten containing products may be in the same space as Quokka Pure spirit production.
Quokka Pure spirits are designed to be as hypoallergenic as possible, accessible to those with multiple chemical sensitivities, celiac, lactose and other reactive issues.
All spirits crafted to the Quokka Pure standard must be produced from fermentation to bottling without the use of any:
- anti-foaming agents
- clarifiers or deflocking agents
- preservatives or fermentation halting agents
- artificial colours, flavours or other presentation agents
